Per Wikipedia, "athleisure is a type of hybrid clothing, a fabricated style of clothing typically worn during athletic activities and in other settings, such as at the workplace, at school, or at other casual or social occasions."

So now that we know what it is let's discuss what's included. "Athleisure wear is not just confined to yoga pants and a top but comprises various clothing items that include leggings, sneakers, shorts, sweatpants, tights, gym tanks, and much more".

I have always loved a good pair of leggings, but they became even more important and part of my daily style when I started working from home (during the pandemic). Also as a busy mom on the go I found that I needed clothing that would help me transition from activity to activity. We have so much to do but we don't always have the time nor the place to change clothes.

This is when I discovered the world of athleisure or activewear paired with a denim jacket lol. It became my world, all I searched and shopped for. I would put these items on hop on a zoom meeting, and then head straight into a zoom Zumba after clocking out.  Once the world "opened back up" I found myself running errands and dropping my kids off at their activities while wearing this same clothing. 

Now I want to share what has made my life much easier with all of you. So what can you expect? You can expect easy, comfy, and stylish pieces that can be worn any and everywhere! Not only will you find the typical legging + tank combo but you will find updated flare yoga pants, skorts, skirts and dresses that can be worn into the office.  Pieces that can be worn to your child's competitions or a PTA meeting, even brunch with the moms.  No matter where you are in your clothing journey you are sure to find something here at McKenna Blue.
